Rates & Memberships

We are pleased to now offer special rates for non-peak hours. UBC students can use the facility for free (if they have paid into the A&R fund). There are also discounted rates for CSC and UNA cardholders.

A regular drop-in includes access to all pools open for drop-in during the time of your visit, drop-in fitness classes (excluding specialty fitness classes), access to the changerooms and ameneties, as well as the steam and sauna.

Try-It Passes

A Try-It Pass functions just like a Reguar Pass, however it is only valid until April 30, 2017.

2Pool access is free for currently registered UBC Students with their UBC Card. Each student must scan their card each visit. There is a $5.00 charge for UBC Students who do not pay Athletics & Recreation fees or don't have their card at time of visit.
3Family rate is listed per person for one or two parent household plus their children. Minimum one paying parent and one paying child.
4Peak hours occur Monday to Friday between 6:30am - 9:00am, 11:30pm - 1:30pm, and 5:30pm - 8:30pm. Peak hours occur Saturday to Sunday between 8:00am - 6:30pm.
5Non-Peak hours occur Monday to Friday between 9:00am - 11:30am, 1:30 - 5:30pm, and 8:30pm - 10:00pm.

Hours of Operation

Monday to Friday — 6:30 a.m.– 10 p.m.
Saturday to Sunday — 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.

NOTE: The hours of operation are not drop-in swim times (see our Drop-In Schedule for public swim times). The steam room and sauna are available during all operating hours, unless otherwise indicated. All hours are subject to change, please check our website before all visits.

How to Get Here

The new UBC Aquatic Centre is located next to the Student Recreation Centre and the War Memorial Gym. The quickest ways to get here are walking, cycling, and public transit. You can find directions on Google Maps, and please see the local area pedestrian route changes.

If you are driving, access via Student Union Blvd is recommended. There are a number of options for parking and drop-off/pick-up:

  • Drop-off only: Curbside pick-up and drop-off can be facilitated in the vicinity of the South Tower of the Gage Residences pullout (Google Maps).
  • Very short-term parking (15 minutes): A limited number of parking spots are now signed and available for use in the vicinity of the South Tower of the Gage Residences pullout (Google Maps).
  • For short-term parking (up to 2 hours): The North Parkade now has 60 spots assigned and available for visitors to the north precinct of campus. (Google Maps. There is also overflow parking at Thunderbird Parkade. For information about rates and hours, please see UBC Parking.

Note: Due to construction in area, we invite visitors to allow for extra time for their trips.

The facility has the following accessibility features:

  • Accessible entrances with power-operated doors
  • Accessible washrooms, change rooms, and elevators
  • Accessible ramps in the 25m recreational and leisure pools
  • Aquatic lift in the hot tub
  • Universal change room for persons with attendants
  • Braille signage
